Ed Knight is serving as SSP for Steven Frank, a delegate to the AADB convention. Steven is receiving in tactile as Ed signs, shadowing the signs of the speaker, who is a deaf rabbi who is out of camera range. Steven has a folded handkercheif on his head to serve as a substitute yarmulke.

above: Ed Knight SSPs for Steven Frank at the 2006 American Association of the Deaf-Blind convention at Towson University in Baltimore June 17-24.  (In case you are wondering what that is on Steven's head, Steven was attending a Jewish service at the convention and didn't have a yarmulke so he improvised by putting a handkercheif on his head.)   St. Barnabas' member Mae Mullen also attended the AADB convention as a delegate and St. Barnabas' members Jim and Ginny Lindsay and Iris Gomes also volunteered as SSPs.   Iris was SSP for Ron Farris.
